Everyone is desperate to do something about the present migrant crisis; the trouble is there are no easy solutions. But that does not mean it’s too difficult for God, so why bother praying! May He be at work in many ways in many peoples’ lives – and may the EU come up with the fairest solution.

I hope this piece of music, which is one of several that I improvised recently to help us identify with just such serious subjects as this, will help us to identify with the desperation so many are feeling as they seek to reach the UK. The heartbreaking conditions migrants are experiencing in French camps around Calais have been described as being among the worst refugee conditions in the world.
