Holding Pakistani Christians in Prayer

Apr 10, 2015 | Flashpoints, INSIGHTS

With attention understandably being directed to the latest victims of ISIL massacres, let’s also remember the continual fear and pressure that many Pakistanis are living under. When we visited in the late 1980’s, we encountered many examples of discrimination (and sometimes worse) being directed against believers. The introduction of Sharia law and massacres in various churches have made things a great deal more fraught for the Christian community. The BBC have featured this several times, including this brief clip which presents a good starting point for identifying with what many believers are going through.

Let’s continue, too, to remember Asia Bibi, a young mother sentenced to hang for alleged blasphemy.

Pre-printed postcards can be sent to Asia Bibi via Open Doors.
