I am the Lord who answers prayer
I am the lord who answers prayer
When Abraham’s servant went to find a wife for Isaac, he stopped at a well and prayed a very specific prayer. ‘And it came to pass before he had even finished speaking,’ that the Lord answered his prayer.
And he said, “Blessed be the Lord . . . . who has not denied His loving kindness and His truth. . . . As for me, the Lord has led me! (Gen. 24:15,17)
It is a truly awesome thought that the moment we set our hearts to seek the Lord, He hears us, whether we are committing small things to Him, or huge international burdens. Nothing is too small or great for Him.
Do you remember how Daniel set his face to seek God with all his being? (Dan. 9:3) If so, you are sure to have made the link between those prayers and the great heavenly encounter that was entrusted to him a few verses further on.
Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. (Dan. 10:12)
Are you facing a situation in any way akin to that faced by Daniel and the exiles, when circumstances seem impossibly grim? That is the time to remind ourselves that God hears us, and He answers prayer.
I was crushed . . . so much so that I despaired even of life, but that was to make me rely not on myself, but on the God, who raises the dead” (2 Cor. 1:8, 9).
Truly, when our hearts and will and purposes are aligned with Jesus, whatsoever we ask in His Name by faith, shall be done, be that for provision, guidance, deepening our faith, obedience or for increasing our fruitfulness.
WOW! Thank you, Lord!
