“Lead such lives that God can answer your prayers”
“Lead such lives that God answer your prayers”
At the height of the Cold War, a Russian believer, imprisoned for his faith in a concentration camp, smuggled out a message to the West on a scrap of toilet paper: “Yes, our main need is for prayer, but lead such lives that God can answer your prayers!
The purer our heart’s leanings and motives, the more we will pray prayers that move the Father’s heart, and that lead to vital breakthroughs.
For all of us the challenge is to ‘lead such lives that God can answer our prayers.’ That’s why we cannot divorce prayer from the whole way that we are, and from everything that we do.
That is why it is so important to attend to anything that He is putting his finger on. Is there something we ought to be facing – or doing – or someone we ought to be contacting? If He has warned us about something – He means it!
Again and again in the Scriptures we see the Lord sending His angels to be the means for answering the prayers of His people. He sends them according to His own purposes – and to those He considers trustworthy.
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? (Heb. 1:14)
May we be counted worthy of such trust!
As we seek to live this and every day for You, Lord Jesus, send Your angels again and again in answer to our prayers, to inspire and support MANY who are in need of Your support.
