Chrism
Chrism is the Greek word for anointing – and that is what we pray this set of six CDs will bring into your heart and home. In the set-apart surroundings of House of the Open Door in Childswickham, and Regent’s College, Malvern, we brought together a group of anointed musicians to record music that will stir your spirit, and release the spirit of prayer.
There are baroque pieces that capture not only the feel and flavour of their own age, but bring something of an eternal perspective; there are rich extracts from the Romantic era that draw us into depths; glorious solo music for harp and piano; outstanding improvisations as the Spirit led us, songs written by our own friends along with imaginative renderings of beautiful hymns. The link below each of the six sections leads to the Soundcloud playlist
where you can listen to the tracks either individually or following on one after the other.
Réjouissances
Your Lord and King adore;
Jesus the Saviour reigns;
The God of truth and love;
His kingdom cannot fail;
He rules o’er earth and heaven,
Lift up your heart lift up your voice;
rejoice, again I say, rejoice.

Deep calls to deep
has shone in our hearts
to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God
in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Cor 4:6
Romance
H e who has promised,
“I will never leave you or forsake you” –
and who has never broken any promise –
is always giving Himself to us.
Listen to this rich music in the company of close friends
and let His presence fill your hearts!
Peace to the soul
Don’t be distressed or daunted. John 14:27
Bittersweet
but he comes back singing, bringing in his sheaves.
Ps 126:6
Rest on Me
along with beautiful chamber music by Corelli.
“Look away from all that and fix your eyes on Jesus,
the pioneer and perfecter of our faith,
who for the sake of the joy that was set before Him
endured the cross,
disregarding the shame
and sitting down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
